Goods-to-man

If your order picking comprises many articles of the same type and the processes are basically the same, the goods-to-man principle offers several advantages: By limiting the routes of your staff, you can reduce their physical exertion to a minimum while at the same time achieving a high order picking performance.

Using the goods-to-man principle, the required articles are transported by a conveyor system or conveyor vehicle directly to the your employee's workstation. SSI SCHÄFER offers you a variety of different technologies for this purpose.

At his individual workstation, the order picker takes the desired goods for the order in question and in the correct quantity. The empty load carriers or remaining items are then returned to the storage by using conveyor technology or vehicles.

The goods-to-man conveyor principle takes pressure off your employees and frees up capacities to carry out additional activities such as counting, measuring and weighing. The required equipment is conveniently installed on location. For areas with increased security, effective protection against theft can be easily added.
