The man-to-goods order picking principle - also known as static order picking - provides the articles at a fixed storage location. They remain there, waiting for the order picker to collect them. In a warehouse with a fixed organisation, the picker is supposed to know the storage location; in a flexible warehouse organisation, the storage locations are specified in the picking order.
